Seasonal Beers

These beers will be available as specified.

Spring: The Dudbridge Donkey (3.6% ABV)

Beer Style
Bring Back Mild! Sweet, dark & malty with enough 'hop' to give this 'mild' more interest than most.

The Name
A trip down memory lane back to the halcyon days of yesteryear. Days when local poet W.H.Davies was 'standing and staring' and days when a steam engine (affectionately known as The Dudbridge Donkey) chugged lazily along the valley between Dudbridge and Nailsworth.

Winter:The Vicar's Stout (4.4% ABV)

Beer Style
Everything a traditional stout should be. Dark, rich, smokey, pleasantly bitter and very, very comforting.

The Name
The Vicar's Stout! Does it refer to him being circumferencely challenged or to what he's drinking? It's a play on words. get it?

Autumn: Funny Bones (4.4% ABV)

Beer Style
Something of the night about this Halloween/Bonfire night special. Dark & smoky, but don't be too afraid.
I wandered far into the wold,
And after the heat and the glare.
I came at eve to a churchyard old;
The yew-trees seemed at prayer.

The Name
Chosen by my daughter.

Winter: Winter Woolly (4.9% ABV)

Beer Style
Light the fire, get your slippers on and settle down with a good book to enjoy this porter which is more rich and fruity than a 'Waitrose' mince pie. (Please note: Other mince pies available)

The Name
Couldn't call it a 'Winter Warmer' (far too common a name in the beer world) so went with the wool theme, it being winter and cold and woolly things keeping you warm.
